oin us for an introduction to mindfulness practice in a Christian context. We will explore the five senses as gateways by which we can enter into communion with God and find joy, renewal, and greater aliveness. And we will learn how mindfulness leads to contemplative resting in God in silence, beyond thoughts and concepts. Activities will include many forms of meditation, from sitting to walking to eating, as well as discussion and small group exercises. Familiarity with meditation or contemplative prayer is recommended. Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing suitable for stretching.
Fee:  $50 includes lunch

Facilitator:  Bill Epperly, PhD is a trained Presenter of the Method of Centering Prayer.  He studied Spiritual Direction at the Institute for Spiritual Leadership and is a speaker and retreat leader.  His work is inspired by Western and Eastern Mystical Traditions, as well as by the work of Ken Wilber.  He teaches mindfulness at DePaul University
