Tapping into the wisdom of St. John of the Cross, especially as it relates to the soul’s journey through darkness, this session will set out to connect his writings on the Dark Night of the Soul with our own experience of navigating the tough times in our own lives when God seems far away or completely absent. Those who participate will receive some tools that can help us stay open to darkness and trust that it too is a place of metamorphosis.
Fee: $20
Facilitator: Barbara Fox holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, is a Psychotherapist and certified Illinois Domestic Violence Professional. Her thesis, entitled “The Dark Night of the Soul” represents Barbara’s passion for helping people tap into our rich tradition and their own inner wisdom during those times when they are especially feeling stuck in some area of their lives.
