Thursday, June 23:  “Live Fully in the Circle of Life”
Thursday morning we will tap into the wisdom of the Lakota Medicine Wheel and gain insights from the colors associated with the seasons, values, and all aspects of creation we encounter on the unwinding path of  our ordinary and fruitful lives.
Facilitator:  Sister Janice Keenan, OSF is a West Peoria Franciscan and Program Manager at the Port. She is a spiritual director and has facilitated retreats for a variety of ages, individuals and groups.  She plays guitar and piano, has directed youth and adult contemporary choirs, and is grateful for the blessing of music in her life and the part it has played in her spirituality.

Friday, June 24:  “Chakras and the Rainbow Bridge”
The Universe is full of vibrations–and so are our bodies.  God has created our bodies with a variety of vibrations that have become known as chakras.  The different vibrations create various colors that are associated with the seven chakras of the body.  We will build a “Rainbow Bridge” between earth and heaven as we journey with the spirituality of the chakras.
Facilitator:  Sister Norma Janssen, OSF is Director of the Poverello Holistic Center on the grounds of St Francis Woods where she works as both a massage therapist and spiritual director.

Saturday, June 25:  “Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga”
Yoga helps regulate the breath and relax the body. By gently releasing tension from our muscles, yoga can increase our feelings of peace and connectedness. Coupled with yoga, meditation puts you in touch with your inner resources.  This day will include a blend of gentle and restorative yoga that will help to promote a calm mind and an open heart followed by a guided meditation and relaxation.  Please wear comfortable clothes. This class is suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners, including beginners.
Facilitator:   Emily Miller graduated from Moksha Yoga Center’s teacher training program in 2009.   She teaches yoga, mindfulness meditation, workshops and teacher training throughout the Chicagoland area.  She wants each person to experience the depths of their own authentic self.
