This is the first in our 3 film series! Join us, and bring a friend. This is an opportunity to view and discuss films that encourage us to expand our horizon and connect with people of other cultures and religious traditions.  In this 90 minute feature documentary, the award-winning film-maker, Velcrow Ripper, takes us on a five-year pilgrimage to the Ground Zeroes of the world in order to understand how it is that some people are able to go through the darkest days of human history and find a way to the other side. This transformation of “scared” places into “sacred” places becomes food for thought as he unearths unforgettable stories of survival, resilience, and recovery—and leaves us with strategies for ways of creating hope in our personal lives and the world we live in.  Fee:  $10

Facilitators:  Father Terry Johnson is a Spiritual Director and Leader of Retreats and Workshops as well as Pastor of St. Irenaeus Parish in Park Forest, and Mary Ruth Broz, RSM
