Sister Simone Campbell is this year’s esteemed speaker for the “Women in the Church” lecture series at the University pf St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. Sister Simone is well known as an advocate for systemic change in public policy. She has led three cross-country “Nuns on the Bus” trips focused on economic justice, immigration reform, and voter turnout. She is an attorney, leader, and poet. Her topic for this event is: “Faith Alive in Public Square”. There is no charge to attend the event. The University of St. Francis is located at 500 Wilcox Street in Joliet, Illinois.
